Elizabeth has been at WasteZero since 2018, returning to formal work after a career break to care for her four children. As well as looking after her family, she has always taken pride in her community and has volunteered for various organizations and nonprofits, including Teen Court, and served as a member on the Financial Board of Directors at a local church. Elizabeth has a deep background in government agencies, municipal contracts and community engagement. Her experience began with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, a government agency working across municipalities in the region and continued with her role as a Children’s’ Ministry Director and Assistant to the Pastor where she led a team of 70+ volunteers.
Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Law with Honors (LLB) from the University of Bedfordshire in the UK, located just outside London. Born and raised in Manchester, UK, Elizabeth moved to the US with her family in 2007. When she’s not working or with her children, you can find Elizabeth hiking in a forest somewhere with her husband Alastair and cycling or running the greenways of North Carolina.
